The most prolific artist in Champions of the Galaxy history is Brian Michael Bendis. Brian began working with Tom in 1993 and contributed game drawings until 2000. Brian has drawn over 170 GWF playing cards including 13 game editions, and many covers for GWF Promoter newsletter. On top of all these accomplishments, Tom has noted that, "Brian has been a pleasure to work with, a real class act." Brian's first game edition was Civil War 2099 and he continued as the regular Champions of the Galaxy artist for five years through CPC 2108. He also worked on several Classics game editions including game edition years 2074, 2084, 2086, and 3000. In addition to the game editions listed above, Brian has drawn 30 Special Edition game cards. His first was Maxine Babe 2098. As a general rule, Brian drew all the Special Edition game cards from 2098 to 2108, including the Greg Valentine playing card. Brian was a special guest at GalactiCon 1997 in Jamestown, New York. He spoke with game fans about the design of several characters and his collaboration with Tom. After his stint with Champions of the Galaxy Brian went on to great success in the comic book industry with Marvel Comics.
