The Return of Raven

He debuted as a member of W.A.R. in the GWF in 2095. He joined that federation’s rival, the CPC, when they split off from it in 2109 and made it his home for almost a decade. He earned a reputation there as a highly-talented, but mostly hated, team leader. He was responsible for the creation of the Species team, the group that now many consider to be the toughest all-around squad in the CPC and now POW. But the team’s manager, Dr. Barnabas, turned on him and had his teammates give him the beating of his life in late 2118, knocking him out of the fed and wrestling altogether. Now, Raven makes his return to the POW, ostensibly to wrestle in Jack of Diamonds’ retirement match at Countdown to Destruction. However, when asked if he has any further plans to make a home for himself in the POW, he won’t give a straight answer. But know this: he hasn’t forgotten what happened to him four years ago, and he’s in the mood for payback. But if revenge is what he’s after, how will he achieve it? Now that he’s past his prime, does he have what it takes to go it alone? Good news for him: he won’t have to. What will 2123 hold for this returning veteran, not to mention Dr. Barnabas and Species? He's not one to speak much, but words never were T.K.'s strong suit. What he's good at is following the orders of his mentor, Talisman, the man who would be the leader of the True Way of Life religious commune. And now that T.K. has spent some time channeling his efforts toward improving both mind and body, he is achieving what his manager verbosely calls "a state of spiritual and psychological tumescence that will generate unprecedented influence over the foes he will stand athwart in combat." Put another way, T.K.'s hitting his prime, and not a moment too soon. Now that teams are to be allowed once again in the POW, the True Way will be making its return with a vengeance. Not only will T.K. be knocking around the cruiserweights he comes into contact with, but Talisman has recruited the superheavyweight ZEALOT to his fold. But with promises of power soon to come, can he convince the True Way dissident Indigo to come back? If so, what will the response of other ex-True Wayers Raze and Absalom be? And how does another large newcomer, BENEDICT, fit into all this?

Meet Macro.

Unlike all of us, Macro isn't just one being. Like the POW's Nano, Macro is a group of minuscule creatures who bind together into a collective entity. But whereas the beings who comprise Nano only weigh enough for it to compete in the women's division, Macro (as its name implies) is large enough to compete with the cruiserweight men. However, Macro is as quirky as Nano, if not more so. Their race just doesn't seem to understand that the galaxy can often be a mean place. Nano is always looking for time to play, and Macro just wants to be everyone's friend -- even if an opponent is somewhat less than welcoming in return. But that doesn't matter to Macro. In fact, it's so determined to befriend everyone, it will introduce you to THE BFF. But suffice it to say that despite Macro's best intentions, the person on the receiving end might not understand the love behind the move.

Saboteur has been working behind the scenes this entire time with someone currently in the CPC. But that's not all. Recently he's recruited another CPC personality to his cause, as well. Coming to the CPC in 2121 is a mysterious newcomer from parts unknown, CRUCIBLE. At just over 200 pounds, you wouldn't think he'd be that intimidating against some of the bigger guys in the league, and much of the time, he's not. But he's got a power unique to any wrestler to precede him in any federation. He possesses a telepathic power that can induce what he calls a "State of Fear" into an opponent at a weak moment, and the weaker his opponent comes into a match mentally, the better the odds that CRUCIBLE will perform strongly against him!

CRUCIBLE'S made a smart move in making his first target in the CPC a man who has had to cope with panic attacks in the past, none other than current True Way member Raze! CPC CATACLYSM 2121 is coming in November! It'll rock the CotGverse, but don't take our word for it! Let's listen in on a conversation between Magnus Colby and Prodigy straight from the CPC CATACLYSM 2121 handbook:

"Boss, the man should NOT be allowed to humiliate any officer of this organization like that. I don't care how many tickets he's selling. He attacked me right on one of our broadcasts."

Magnus Colby listened to the words of his new President of Operations, Prodigy, steepling his fingers in front of his face as he did so. "While I agree with you on that, I don't know if I can agree with you on your solution."

"Right, and I can understand why," Prodigy responded. "You've had to fight against him in the past. He's ready to make a new start. He wants to make a big impact, and I can't think of a bigger impact to make than this. Much as I hate to admit it, Euritar is probably going to be fighting at the top of this league for some time. Taking him on will only put our man right in the thick of things to start."

Colby again appeared deep in thought. To stress his point further, Prodigy continued, "Boss, the man used to be his partner back in the Takeover days. He knows how he fights. He's a lot bigger than Euritar. And frankly, there's nobody else willing to be that loyal to us right now who could get it done."

After several seconds of silence, Colby exhaled audibly. "If we're going to do this, I need to be convinced of his loyalty."

"Not a problem, boss. In fact, I was hoping you'd say that. I have him waiting outside."

Glowering, Colby asked, "That was a bit presumptuous of you, wasn't it?"

"You wouldn't have hired me if I wasn't willing to take some risks. You said so yourself. May I show him in, then?"

By way of a reply, Colby merely waved his right hand in assent. Prodigy pressed a button on the table in front of them. "Madlyn, send him in, please."

Five seconds later, the door opened, and the light from outside was blocked by the enormous presence of the man standing in it. As he walked in, Magnus Colby got right to the point. "All right. Prodigy says you're willing to work with us. The only thing I want to hear out of your mouth right now is that you'll make Euritar's life in the CPC a living hell. Agreed?"

Mensar stood up to his full height. "Consider it done ... boss."
